Reggae music enthusiast Mr. Boff, aged 68, had intended to arrive at the event by 6 p.m., but he got there ahead of schedule to enjoy some ribs before the show began. Chaos erupted when gunfire suddenly rang out, prompting him to swiftly take cover on the ground.
Survivors recounted the terrifying ordeal, recalling that bullets rained down relentlessly for nearly a full minute.
According to eyewitness Mr. Boff, a gunman's firearm might have been dropped nearby during the chaos. He loudly alerted others by shouting "a weapon is on the ground" when the shooting finally subsided.
