Joseph Osmundson's years of good-natured teasing about having a baby with his best friend finally took an unexpected turn when she revealed her seriousness. This sudden shift left him beaming with joy, a sentiment he'd always harbored but hadn't fully acknowledged until their lighthearted banter turned into a genuine aspiration.

Joe's life had been intertwined with his boyfriend's at the time, while his best friend was in a committed relationship with her partner. The decision to conceive and co-parent wasn't made lightly; it required considerable discussion and planning among all parties involved. As their plan unfolded, however, they underestimated the depth of emotions that would arise, forcing Joe to reevaluate what parenthood meant to him personally.
