By morning's end, he had been freed from jail. A subsequent court appearance on June 10 revealed additional charges: second-degree assault by strangulation and third-degree assault, both stemming from the same incident.

Charged on June 11 with harassment, Jonathon Cooper faced allegations of repeatedly making unwanted phone calls and breaching a protective order. Following his arrest, he spent an overnight stay in the Douglas County Jail prior to a court appearance.
