Fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph are back in the West Indies test squad for a two-match home series against Sri Lanka, as Joshua Da Silva takes over from injured wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach.

Alzarri and Shamar, who had been absent due to injury, returned to action in the West Indies team during a recent limited-overs series against Sri Lanka that took place earlier this month.

In response to Imlach's underwhelming batting performances against both New Zealand and India, selectors have made a strategic move by recalling Da Silva, who has been impressing with his consistent form in domestic competitions at just 27 years old.

Head coach Daren Sammy acknowledged Sri Lanka's strong reputation, stating that his team will need to perform optimally to overcome their opponents' quality.
