Wednesday's order from the CCI revealed that analyzed agreements had onerous terms, according to its findings.

The regulations also impose a five-year ban on numerous participants and victors from engaging with rival beauty contests, either as adjudicators or advisors.

The CCI has explicitly stated that participants cannot engage in professional activities outside their agreement with the company without explicit approval.

A formal grievance was lodged with the CCI by Rinima Borah Agarwal, last year's runner-up and reigning "Mrs. India Galaxy," who is also eligible to participate in the upcoming "International Mrs. Galaxy" contest as India's representative in 2025.

In its investigation into the allegations, the regulatory body requested information about Mrs. India Inc.'s partnerships from 2025, yet the company remained silent, ignoring multiple chances to provide a response.

The contract scrutinized by the watchdog contains an objectionable clause that mandates contestants and winners to collaborate with a social initiative endorsed by Mrs India Inc.

Regulatory probes often drag on for several months before yielding a definitive decision or resolution.
