On June 16, the Colorado Avalanche parted ways with Ross Colton, sending him to the Nashville Predators as part of a multifaceted deal involving five assets exchanged between the teams.
Nashville acquired Ross Colton and Isak Posch from Colorado in return for goaltender Magnus Chrona and two draft picks: a third-rounder in '26 and another in '27.

His contributions to the Avalanche this season included nine crucial goals and 15 valuable assists in just 73 games, helping them secure the Presidents' Trophy for the NHL's top regular-season record.
