Comedy fans have plenty to chuckle about on Hulu. The platform boasts a diverse range of programs guaranteed to tickle your funny bone. Among its latest offerings is Not Suitable for Work, a hilarious new series created by Mindy Kaling that explores the challenges faced by young professionals in New York City this month.

Hulu's movie collection is home to a vast array of comedic gems, both classic and contemporary. Among them, four standout titles have caught my attention, with one particular favorite generating buzz following its recent sequel release in May.

02Big Daddy

Adam Sandler takes on fatherhood.

Adam Sandler's impact on my childhood comedy is undeniable, given his birth in the 1990s. The Sandman's early films, including Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, left an indelible mark on my sense of humor. Among his numerous hits from that era, Big Daddy stands out as a personal favorite. This beloved film not only resonated with me but also became a staple in our household, showcasing Sandler's ability to craft comedies appealing to all ages. His success in this niche would continue for the next decade, solidifying his place in comedy history.

Sonny Koufax, a toll booth employee in New York City, spends most of his days lounging around. His life takes an unexpected turn when Julian McGrath, a five-year-old boy, is left on his doorstep by Kevin Gerrity, his roommate. Sonny decides to take care of Julian, hoping this will impress his ex-girlfriend and improve their relationship. This film showcases Adam Sandler's most heartwarming performance and is likely to leave your family in stitches.

06Toy Story

Laugh out loud with Hulu's best.

Toy Story may not be the first film that comes to mind when thinking of comedies, but its classification as an animated adventure comedy on Hulu is undeniable. In fact, it's listed in the platform's trending comedy section, making it a prime candidate for this month's round-up. Revisiting the original before Toy Story 5 is released seems like a clever way to get familiar with the series.

In 1995, Pixar's inaugural feature-length film brought toys to life when their owner was out of sight. Andy's toy collection boasted a diverse cast, with Sheriff Woody being voiced by Tom Hanks and Mr. Potato Head by Don Rickles. Bo Peep, voiced by Annie Potts, and Slinky Dog, voiced by Jim Varney, rounded out the group. On his birthday, Andy received Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Tim Allen, who mistakenly believed he was a genuine Space Ranger and instantly became Woody's adversary. Now over 30 years old, Toy Story remains Pixar's crowning achievement in animation history.

10Mrs. Doubtfire

Mrs. Doubtfire takes over childcare duties.

With a warm, Euphegenia Doubtfire-esque tone, "Helloooo, dear," it's hard not to feel the absence of Robin Williams' incredible talent. As an actor, he possessed a unique ability to evoke emotions - joy, sadness, and above all, laughter. His chaotic energy infused films with life, making him a truly special performer. A standout film that showcases his remarkable skill is Mrs. Doubtfire, a movie that remains close to my heart.

Struggling voice actor Daniel Hillard sees his world crumble when his wife, Miranda, files for divorce. The court awards primary custody of their three children to Miranda, leaving Daniel heartbroken. In a last-ditch effort to stay connected with his kids, Daniel creates an alter ego: Euphegenia Doubtfire, a seasoned British nanny with expertise in child education and entertainment. As Mrs. Doubtfire, he effortlessly wins over the children's hearts and even gains Miranda's trust. The movie has become a treasure trove of hilarious moments, making it challenging to recall every memorable quote. Daniel Hillard's performance as Williams shines brightly, bringing warmth and charisma to this beloved comedy classic.

14The Devil Wears Prada

Ignoring my ineptitude won't change the facts.

Rewatching The Devil Wears Prada on a recent flight was a necessary precursor to The Devil Wears Prada 2. It's still an unalloyed pleasure from beginning to end, with its engaging soundtrack and eye-catching fashion making a lasting impression. Andy Sachs, an ambitious young journalist, lands a role at Runway magazine as Miranda Priestly's trusted assistant, navigating the treacherous waters of this demanding editor-in-chief's domain.

Andy's resilience is put to the test by Miranda's relentless demands, yet he outlasts expectations. Given that The Devil Wears Prada 2 has earned more than $665 million globally, a sequel announcement seems likely in the near future.

Affordable viewing options abound this summer season.

Hulu offers additional content.

Hulu's content offerings are constantly growing with an impressive array of films and television series. For those seeking award-winning movies on the platform, Sentimental Value and Black Panther stand out as exceptional choices. Alternatively, viewers can indulge in binge-worthy shows like The Testaments or Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair over a weekend.
